Associate Director, HR – People Strategy and Labor Relations

Location: Hybrid role in Chicago, IL, at the Aon Center, with onsite work three days per week

New hire base salary: $164,200–$205,200 per year; eligible for a performance-based bonus.

Food manufacturing company supporting Supply Chain and Procurement operations across North America.

What you will do

• Develop and implement HR strategies, programs, and initiatives aligned with North America Supply Chain and Procurement objectives.
• Lead workforce planning, labor relations, talent capability, organizational design, and process improvement initiatives.
• Partner with business leaders on training and development, career experiences, mentoring, rotations, and talent strategies.
• Analyze HR metrics and complex people data to inform business decisions and improve organizational efficiency.
• Oversee budgeting and control for people-related ZBB packages.
• Lead three direct reports and provide coaching, guidance, and development opportunities to the wider HR support team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of human resources experience, including 5+ years in business partnership roles supporting executive leaders.
• Experience leading HR teams and developing HR strategies that deliver business results.
• Experience in a manufacturing or operations environment, preferably in the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and business skills.
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
