Design Release Engineer (Automotive EDS)

Location: Onsite in Troy, Michigan, United States; local residents only

What you will do

• Design and develop vehicle electrical distribution system wiring based on product requirements and customer-specific requirements.
• Manage the engineering relationship and act as the primary interface for EDS wiring design and development.
• Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks while solving design and product development issues.
• Drive closure of Design for Manufacturing issues and ensure Bill of Design and Bill of Process compliance.
• Coordinate cost and timing for engineering changes and report updates through customer change control meetings.
• Provide onsite vehicle build support and work with the customer on warranty, cost-reduction, and continuous improvement targets.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience designing or developing vehicle EDS wiring.
• Component release experience or strong wiring design experience.
• Experience analyzing requirements, creating designs, and ensuring customer-specific compliance.
• Ability to organize conflicting priorities, solve problems independently, and deliver work on schedule.
• Ability to work onsite in Troy, Michigan; local residents only.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship or transfer now or in the future.
