What you will do

• Develop and document high-voltage and low-voltage system architectures, technical specifications, and electrical power budgets.
• Write system requirements, fault-management strategies, and test plans for high-voltage and low-voltage subsystems.
• Collaborate with Powertrain, Battery, Harness, Functional Safety, and Software teams to meet vehicle, thermal, and regulatory targets.
• Define vehicle operational power modes and manage low-voltage power consumption across vehicle states.
• Define safety logic for AC/DC fast-charging protocols, charging-related vehicle-state transitions, and charging interfaces.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or another relevant educational credential.
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience in automotive or a similar field, with strong experience in battery electric vehicle architectures and high-voltage/low-voltage systems.
• Broad understanding of BEV systems, including energy management, battery management systems, electric drives, vehicle state machines, thermal loops, and charging systems.
• Knowledge of automotive systems requirements, testing standards, software and vehicle communication protocols, diagnostic tools, and software-hardware integration.
• Hands-on vehicle and system testing experience and experience with ISO 26262 Functional Safety.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with IEC 61508 or MIL-STD-882E.
