Survey Project Coordinator

Location: Portland, Oregon, United States; primarily office-based with occasional field visits and travel to project sites.

Salary: USD $25.00–$45.00 per hour, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Coordinate project startup documentation, field packages, schedules, survey information, and work packages.
• Support pipeline, utility, energy, renewable energy, transportation, and infrastructure surveying projects.
• Coordinate communication among field crews, office staff, project managers, subcontractors, and clients.
• Organize and review survey data, field notes, exhibits, plats, maps, and project deliverables before technical review.
• Monitor schedules, milestones, budgets, labor hours, resources, invoices, quality control, and project records.
• Coordinate utility requests, permits, right-of-way information, subcontractors, logistics, proposals, change documentation, and project closeout.

Requirements

• At least five years of surveying, survey project coordination, or project support experience.
• Experience with pipeline, electric transmission and distribution, substations, renewable energy, utility, or other energy infrastructure surveying projects.
• Working knowledge of boundary, topographic, construction, right-of-way, and utility surveying principles.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Microsoft Office, and digital survey workflows.
• Strong organizational, communication, time management, and multitasking skills, including coordination between office and field personnel.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally, work on uneven terrain, and lift survey equipment weighing up to approximately 30 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor's degree in surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, GIS, or a related discipline.
• Surveyor-in-Training certification or active pursuit of Professional Land Surveyor licensure.
• Experience with GIS, UAV, terrestrial laser scanning, LiDAR, reality capture, cloud collaboration, digital document management, or project management tools.
• Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering or consulting projects.
