Quality Engineer

Location: Clinton, South Carolina, USA; onsite

What you will do

• Provide technical quality support for new and existing products and ensure compliance with quality system regulations, ISO standards, procedures, and customer requirements.
• Lead containment, corrective action, and preventive action projects to reduce defects and resolve supplier, customer, warranty, and production quality issues.
• Apply process capability analysis, measurement system analysis, statistical process control, FMEA, risk analysis, and root-cause investigation methods.
• Participate in IQ/OQ/PQ validation activities and review product and process changes for documentation and risk-assessment completeness.
• Support nonconforming product disposition, discrepant material transactions, customer complaint closure, and quality documentation.
• Train quality inspectors and manufacturing personnel and lead or participate in internal and external quality system audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and eight years of relevant technical experience.
• At least two years of experience in quality, engineering, or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques, risk management, product and process development, Lean and Six Sigma tools, and root-cause investigations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and independent-working skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SAP, AutoCAD or SolidWorks, blueprint reading, basic metrology, and GD&T is preferred.
• Minimal travel is required, and the role is based onsite in Clinton, South Carolina.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt, CQE, CQA, or Lead Auditor certification.
• Experience with SAP, AutoCAD or SolidWorks, blueprint reading, basic metrology, and GD&T.
