TL;DR
Sr Regulatory Advisor (Customs Compliance): Managing complex customs regulatory matters, government notices, compliance documentation, and brokerage system reporting with an accent on post-entry processes, federal agency requirements, and customer guidance. Focus on researching regulatory discrepancies, handling CBP/PGA compliance reviews, creating action plans, and training internal and external customers.

Location: Onsite in Irving, Texas, United States; preferred locations include Memphis, Romulus, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Boston, Chicago, and Miami.

Salary: USD 4,291.67–8,360.33 per month.

What you will do

  • Manage complex regulatory matters, including CF28s, CF29s, seizure notices, redelivery notices, FDA registrations, and liquidated damages.
  • Oversee government notices and inquiries, ensuring timely, accurate resolution and compliance with company policies.
  • Review customs documents, compliance procedures, quality referral disputes, and regulatory discrepancies.
  • Create reports, action plans, notices, training materials, and communications based on trend analysis and system data.
  • Maintain and analyze brokerage systems and regulatory reporting following government updates.
  • Provide expert guidance and training to internal and external customers while collaborating with Legal, management, operations, customers, and government agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in business.
  • At least four years of brokerage experience; regulatory experience is preferred.
  • Broker's license and QDM Apprentice qualification required.
  • Thorough knowledge of customs regulations, the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and federal agency laws and procedures, preferably with post-entry experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive work independently.
  • Ability to work onsite at an approved U.S. location; this is a first-shift role.
