Global Category Manager II

Location: Hybrid in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; candidates must live within 50 miles of the campus and work onsite several times per week. Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs.

Salary: $6,854.33–$11,309.65 per month.

What you will do

• Develop and execute enterprise-wide category management and strategic sourcing strategies.
• Evaluate category and spend information, conduct benchmarking, and recommend sourcing approaches and supplier scorecard criteria.
• Build category expertise and supplier market relationships while partnering with internal stakeholders.
• Lead complex internal projects and programs, including negotiations with significant corporate impact.
• Manage supplier relationship, diversity, risk, and sustainability initiatives.
• Present recommendations and interact with executives, Finance, Legal, suppliers, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in supply chain, business, finance, mathematics, business analysis, strategic management, marketing, or another quantitative discipline.
• At least four years of experience in sourcing, financial analysis, or a related field; a related advanced degree may offset the experience requirement.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated negotiation and project management skills.
• Knowledge of project management, technology tools, databases, analytical tools, market dynamics, and category or product lifecycles.
• Must live within 50 miles of the Pittsburgh campus and work onsite several times per week.

Nice to have

• Experience sourcing transportation services, including FTL road linehaul, rail, intermodal, LTL, and first- and last-mile delivery.
• Proficiency with cost analysis, Coupa, and Power BI Dashboard.
• Experience with supplier diversity, risk, sustainability, Six Sigma, or Total Quality Management programs.
