Category Manager II

Location: Hybrid in Pittsburgh, PA; Memphis/Collierville, TN; or Plano, TX. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the campus and work onsite several times per week.

Monthly salary: $6,854.33–$11,309.65 in Pittsburgh and Plano; $6,511.62–$10,744.16 in Collierville. The position may be eligible for relocation.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise-wide category management strategies covering strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, diversity, and risk management.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for complex categories using the hirify.global sourcing methodology.
• Analyze category and spend data, benchmark markets, and recommend sourcing approaches and supplier scorecard criteria.
• Build category expertise and work with suppliers and internal stakeholders across the sourcing lifecycle.
• Lead complex cross-functional projects and programs, including negotiation strategy and supplier negotiations.
• Engage executives and act with senior-level authority across suppliers, business stakeholders, Finance, and Legal.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in supply chain, business, finance, mathematics, business analysis, strategic management, marketing, or another quantitative discipline.
• At least four years of experience in sourcing, financial analysis, or a related field; a related advanced degree may offset experience requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills and experience with current technology, database, and analytical tools.
• Strong written, oral, interpersonal, negotiation, and project management skills.
• Knowledge of forecasting, market dynamics, category and product lifecycles, cost analysis, and applying financial data to business decisions.

Nice to have

• Facility services sourcing experience, including waste and recycling, facility maintenance, pest control, janitorial services, landscaping, utilities, or equipment rental.
• Experience with Coupa, Power BI Dashboard, supplier diversity, risk, sustainability, Six Sigma, or Total Quality Management programs.
