Staff Test Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Plano, Texas, United States; onsite with no remote work available

What you will do

• Develop test programs for new product introduction, quality, and capability initiatives.
• Support product qualification, characterization, correlation, production yield, and customer return activities.
• Develop scalable hardware and software solutions and act as the test platform expert for Automated Test Equipment.
• Coordinate with product engineering, operations, laboratory teams, leadership, and external technical partners to support production ramp and release.
• Define test-group processes, procedures, guidelines, specifications, quality plans, reviews, schedules, and ROI inputs.
• Train, guide, and mentor junior engineers while providing technical leadership and resolving priority conflicts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 8–12+ years of experience with Automated Test Systems and hands-on ATE test development for analog, digital, and mixed-signal products, especially analog power products.
• Programming experience with C++, BASIC, Perl, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience testing and collecting data from IC chips or circuits using oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and related tools.
• Proficiency with ATE analog and digital instruments, PCB layout parasitic reduction, test hardware and program development, and technical debugging.
• Hands-on experience debugging analog products with serial bus interfaces.
