Product Test Engineer (FPGA)

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon, United States. The role requires satisfactory proof of the right to work in the United States of America.

What you will do

• Create test plans for chip IP functions and features.
• Design and implement FPGA test circuits using embedded IP and proprietary design software.
• Develop automation scripts for test generation and own pre-silicon verification through silicon readiness.
• Execute post-silicon pattern validation on wafer-level ATE, package-level ATE, and bench platforms across process, temperature, and voltage conditions.
• Analyze product marginalities to determine root causes and coordinate issue resolution with Applications Engineering, Design Engineering, and other groups.
• Deliver test content on schedule and extract fault-grading coverage metrics to identify improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• BS degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering with 8 years of industry experience, or MS degree in one of these fields with 6 years of industry experience.
• Working knowledge of semiconductor devices and test methodologies.
• Experience developing, integrating, and debugging ATE test programs; experience with Nextest Magnum, Advantest T2K, or Teradyne UltraFLEX is preferred.
• Experience with IC characterization or failure analysis using oscilloscopes, pattern generators, data timing generators, multimeters, and related bench tools.
• Experience with WAT/etest, wafer sort, package assembly, and final test across the backend IC process.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, Windows, Unix, and MS Office skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple groups and cultures.

Nice to have

• Experience with programmable logic, RTL design, and design verification.
• Knowledge of DFT methodologies, including scan and BIST, memory testing, and fault grading.
• Knowledge of Verilog or VHDL.
• Programming experience with Python or C++.
