Location: Chicago Southside territory, Chicago, Illinois, United States. Residence in or ability to relocate to the posted territory is required. The role includes travel, including possible weekend and overnight travel, and work in laboratory and operating-room environments.

Johnson & Johnson MedTech develops healthcare and orthopaedic solutions, with the Trauma business providing surgical products for simple and complex injuries.

What you will do

  • Identify prospective surgeons and hospital accounts and develop territory-specific sales plans.
  • Achieve sales goals and grow product sales across assigned trauma and orthopaedic products.
  • Present, demonstrate, and support the proper use of surgical products and instruments.
  • Build relationships with surgeons, operating-room personnel, buyers, and other hospital stakeholders.
  • Provide support during surgical cases and educate surgeons and hospital personnel through in-services and workshops.
  • Manage territory equipment and promotional materials while addressing competitive threats and strategic product priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of professional or related experience; or an associate degree/medical certification and 5 years of experience; or 8 years of relevant experience; or active military duty transition with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Valid driver’s license issued in the United States.
  • Residence in or ability to relocate to the Chicago Southside territory.
  • Ability to travel, including possible weekend and overnight travel, and work in laboratory and operating-room environments.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, influencing, critical-thinking, problem-solving, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
  • Functional knowledge of human anatomy and physiology and basic knowledge of surgery.

Nice to have

  • Experience with data analysis and complex operating environments.
  • Technical knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, protocols, and solutions.
  • Experience in account management, healthcare trends, market research, solutions selling, or sales presentations.
