Cloud Networking Architect

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and operate cloud networking infrastructure across one or more major cloud providers.
• Build VPC/VNet architectures, hybrid connectivity, transit topologies, edge networking, and DNS solutions.
• Implement cloud security controls and network segmentation for reliable, secure operation at scale.
• Translate requirements from product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders into production-ready solutions.
• Contribute to code and design reviews while mentoring more junior engineers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of networking experience, including significant cloud networking experience; the position lists 6+ years of overall experience.
• Deep hands-on experience with networking on at least one major cloud provider.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, BGP, and modern networking fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with hybrid connectivity such as Direct Connect or ExpressRoute.
• Experience with infrastructure as code for cloud networking, especially Terraform.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, Kubernetes networking, service mesh fundamentals, troubleshooting, and packet-level analysis.

Nice to have

• Cloud networking certifications such as AWS Advanced Networking or Azure Network Engineer.
• Experience with multi-cloud and cloud-to-cloud networking.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, SASE architectures, and eBPF-based networking tools.
• Experience with regulated industries and strict network segmentation requirements.
