Senior Project Designer (Higher Education)

Location: Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, or Houston, Texas, United States. Hybrid work with four days in the office and flexibility to work outside the office on Fridays.

What you will do

• Lead project development and manage client relationships alongside project leadership.
• Oversee project implementation, schedules, budgets, work plans, and profitability goals.
• Develop conceptual designs and technical strategies for higher education projects.
• Coordinate project teams and communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Implement quality assurance and control processes while maintaining company practice standards.
• Supervise and mentor teams, present design solutions, and maintain design intent throughout all project phases.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Architecture; a graduate degree is not required unless mandated for licensure.
• At least 8 years of professional architecture experience.
• Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and standard architecture software.
• Technical knowledge, collaboration and communication skills, problem-solving ability, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to apply design techniques and sustainable principles to technical plans and models.
• Active participation in professional organizations and involvement in marketing and business development.
