Senior Electrical Engineer - Justice + Civic

Location: Austin, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Des Moines, Houston, Las Vegas, Lincoln, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Nashville, New York, Omaha, Orlando, Overland Park, Phoenix, Portland, or Seattle, United States. Four days per week are worked in the office, with flexibility to work elsewhere on Fridays.

Salary: $102,000–$160,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead multiple justice and civic projects and multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple regions.
• Lead electrical design on significant projects and produce integrated, high-quality construction documents.
• Manage project execution, budgets, schedules, scope, milestones, deliverables, and client expectations.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, clients, vendors, suppliers, consultants, and project personnel.
• Perform interdisciplinary technical reviews and maintain consistent design quality.
• Support business development through RFP responses, client interviews, and relationship management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• 15+ years of engineering experience, including building systems design for the Justice + Civic sector.
• Knowledge of smoke control systems, smoke modeling coordination, justice-facility lighting, correctional-facility requirements, and security-system integration.
• Familiarity with facility operations and maintenance, design and construction processes, local building and energy codes, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Strong critical thinking, time management, communication, leadership, teamwork, business management, and customer service skills.
