Quality Product Support Engineer (Outdoor Products)

Location: Anderson, South Carolina, United States. Global travel required, up to 30%.

What you will do

• Analyze customer experience metrics and product quality data to identify issues, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and present quality reports and analysis to product development teams and support progress toward quality objectives.
• Lead cross-functional continuous improvement meetings and root cause investigations using 8D and 5 Why methodologies.
• Support new product development through product quality history analysis and quality planning.
• Partner with Supplier Quality on new parts and assemblies, existing product improvements, and corrective actions.
• Inspect products and components, develop inspection instructions and equipment, and conduct process and quality system audits.

Requirements

• BS or BA degree, equivalent engineering experience, or a two-year degree with up to five years of quality experience.
• Knowledge of statistical process control, AQL sampling, gauge R&R, design of experiments, and related statistical methods.
• Experience with quality management systems, auditing, control plans, procedures, and work instructions; knowledge of ISO 9001 is preferred.
• Knowledge of drawing and test specification standards, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, gauging methods, and quality software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with creative problem-solving ability.
• Ability to travel globally up to 30% and work at the Anderson, South Carolina facility.

Nice to have

• Strong Microsoft Excel or Power BI skills.
• Exposure to Minitab, ReliaSoft, JMP, life data analysis, or other statistical tools.
• Experience with power tools.
