Quality Engineer - Batteries

Location: Anderson, South Carolina, United States; onsite at the Anderson office

What you will do

• Lead the Quality function on new product development projects and deliver quality-related milestones.
• Support the development, launch, production, and continuous improvement of lithium-ion battery packs.
• Analyze warranty, return, audit, testing, customer review, and consumer report data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Document issues, root causes, corrective actions, and management reports while serving as a subject matter expert in problem-solving processes.
• Define quality control criteria, maintain compliance with quality control plans, and evaluate parts, components, drawings, and specifications.
• Support product qualification testing, supplier qualification and development, PPAP approval, and cost improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; Electrical Engineering is preferred, with Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline acceptable.
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience in product development or product-based continuous improvement.
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience with APQP and PPAP.
• Working knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001.
• Strong understanding of engineering and product design concepts, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
• Ability to travel up to 25%, including internationally, and lift up to 30 pounds when required.
