Quality Technician (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Analyze product returns and handle customer complaints.
• Inspect and analyze components and finished products for conformance to specifications.
• Develop inspection instructions for quality checks.
• Perform system audits to verify that procedures are followed.
• Gather data and support continual improvement activities.
• Interface with suppliers and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Two-year degree with a high school diploma, or equivalent education and four years of experience.
• Knowledge of inspection and analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with a quality management system such as ISO 9000:2000.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motion, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; team lifts are used for heavier items.
• Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.

Nice to have

• Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification.

Hiring process

• Internal applicants must have no final warnings, no more than six attendance points, and must have met efficiency and quality goals during the previous three months.
• Internal applicants must have been in their current role for at least six months and meet all job requirements.
