Supplier Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Stafford Springs, Connecticut, United States; onsite role with travel to suppliers as needed

What you will do

• Review supplier quality data, nonconformances, and suspect parts, providing dispositions and coordinating corrective actions.
• Develop inspection plans, quality specifications, supplier performance metrics, and monthly supplier improvement plans.
• Generate and track supplier corrective action responses, driving quality issues to closure.
• Conduct supplier process reviews and assessments, including travel to supplier sites as needed.
• Support First Article Inspection Reports, supplier documentation improvements, and quality system activities.
• Partner with production, inspection, process engineering, suppliers, and management on product compliance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, equivalent education and experience, or 4–6 years of technical experience in electronics manufacturing or engineering.
• Experience with statistical data analysis, manufacturing performance metrics, problem-solving, and improvement planning.
• Knowledge of FMEA, process and value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and error-proofing tools.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 and NADCAP; familiarity with industry and military standards is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, organizational ability, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents and comply with applicable export-control policies.
