Process Engineer (PCB Manufacturing)

Location: Stafford Springs, Connecticut, United States; onsite. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents due to ITAR requirements.

What you will do

• Identify and quantify opportunities to improve product design and manufacturing processes across manpower, methods, materials, machines, measurements, and the work environment.
• Review supplier quality data and nonconformances, define dispositions, and coordinate corrective actions and escape prevention.
• Define manufacturing control points and implement quality inspection plans and specifications.
• Program, set up, monitor, and modify production equipment, tooling, fixtures, procedures, and work instructions.
• Analyze yield and statistical process control data, implement corrective actions, and support first article inspection reports.
• Provide real-time technical support to production staff and coordinate process updates with managers, engineers, supervisors, production, and quality teams.

Requirements

• BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, including statistical data analysis and interpretation.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, bills of material, specifications, and customer documentation.
• Hands-on mechanical assembly skills, including hardware installation, epoxy application, hand tools, and machine shop equipment.
• Strong written and verbal English communication, planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work up to 10 hours per day, five days per week, with flexibility to work weekends; annual eye exams and 20/20 corrected vision are required.

Nice to have

• Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and CNC machining.
• Working knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, industry standards, and military standards.
