Cloud Engineer

Location: On-site in Arlington, Virginia, United States. Occasional travel of up to 10% may be required.

Salary: $107,000–$220,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, engineer, and integrate the cloud environment supporting the WDP System.
• Architect multi-cloud and hybrid cloud solutions, including connectivity to on-premises resources.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code to automate cloud resource provisioning and establish governance policies and guardrails.
• Design cloud networking with VPCs, subnets, and secure connectivity.
• Configure cloud security, monitoring, and logging controls to protect resources and provide operational visibility.
• Optimize resource utilization, implement auto-scaling, and design disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.

Requirements

• SECRET security clearance is required.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Professional proficiency in English is required.
• Junior level: 0–3 years of experience and a bachelor's degree.
• Journeyman level: 4–7 years of experience and a bachelor's degree.
• Senior level: 8+ years of experience and a bachelor's degree. Relevant security certifications vary by level, including Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP, SecurityX/CASP+, CCNP Security, CCSP, FITSP-O, and GFACT.
