Cloud DevOps Architect (AWS)

Location: McLean, Virginia, United States. Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.

Salary: $200,000–$275,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows for a classified AWS cloud environment.
• Define DevOps standards covering branching, code reviews, automated testing, and release management.
• Architect reproducible, auditable cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code and manage AWS environments.
• Integrate APIs, databases, and microservices while improving system performance and reliability.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational visibility using Splunk, Elasticsearch, and ServiceNow.
• Lead security and compliance automation, post-deployment operations, incident response, maintenance, and team mentoring.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, computer engineering, information systems, or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying classified IC systems of similar scope and complexity.
• 4+ years of experience in the Sponsor’s AWS environment, including cloud administration, containerization, cloud management, and compliance assessments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, code repositories, testing suites, object-oriented programming, relational and NoSQL databases, software testing, and configuration management.
• AWS or equivalent cloud certification, plus experience with Splunk, Elasticsearch, ServiceNow, troubleshooting, and IT operations monitoring.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agile requirements management and sprint planning.
• Master’s degree in a related discipline.
• Security+, CISSP, or equivalent certification.
