Azure Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: Rocklin, California, or Spokane, Washington; initial in-office training followed by hybrid workplace flexibility. Relocation assistance is available to eligible candidates who must relocate.

Annual base salary ranges from $80,000 to $199,800 depending on level and location, with an annual performance-based incentive target of 12%–18%.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure in line with enterprise architecture and security standards.
• Execute cloud migration, modernization, integration, and hybrid connectivity initiatives across Azure and on-premises environments.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code templates, scripts, provisioning workflows, CI/CD integrations, and operational automation.
• Implement and maintain Azure security, governance, access control, configuration, and compliance practices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, optimize, and improve Azure environments for performance, reliability, resiliency, security, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and managed service providers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Three to five years of hands-on experience deploying, automating, monitoring, and supporting enterprise cloud infrastructure, preferably with Microsoft Azure.
• Working knowledge of Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, security, and platform management services.
• Experience with Azure networking, virtual networks, routing, DNS, network security controls, hybrid connectivity, and on-premises integration.
• Working proficiency with scripting, automation, and infrastructure as code using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bicep, ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-700, AZ-500, or AZ-400.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud provisioning, monitoring, backup and recovery, operational runbooks, governance, and policy management.
• Experience working with vendors, managed service providers, or third-party technology partners.
• Experience in regulated environments or financial institutions.
