Financial Planning & Analysis Summer Intern (Real Estate)

Location: New York, New York

Compensation: $30/hour anticipated base pay.

What you will do

• Support portfolio NOI reporting, forecasting, reforecasting, and budget-versus-actual variance analysis.
• Track occupancy, leasing performance, and other real estate operating metrics.
• Partner with Capital Markets, asset management, property management, leasing, and finance teams on reporting and ad hoc analysis.
• Build automated reporting pipelines, dashboards, and AI-enabled FP&A workflows.
• Maintain and improve Excel forecasting models and recurring analytical workbooks.
• Contribute to monthly business reviews, market-level reporting, and executive-ready deliverables using Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled junior undergraduate student and rising senior at an accredited four-year institution.
• Pursuing Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative degree.
• Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and basic financial modeling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Basic understanding of real estate investment and finance concepts, including valuation, capital markets, NOI, occupancy, and leasing metrics.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Python, SQL, or similar analytical and visualization tools.
• Experience using AI tools thoughtfully in analytical workflows.
• Interest in commercial real estate asset management, investment, and financial planning and analysis.
