Collection Specialist II (Banking)

What you will do

• Manage inbound and outbound calls for delinquent real estate and non-real-estate loan accounts.
• Contact customers, determine the reasons for delinquency, and establish payment arrangements or settlements.
• Process, distribute, post, and reconcile consumer loan payments, including telephone payments.
• Maintain consumer loan files and record accurate account status and collection notes.
• Counsel customers on financial obligations and available alternatives.
• Ensure collection activities and documentation comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of collections experience required, or demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties.
• Strong telephone, customer service, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Jack Henry Platform.
• Punctual and regular attendance; occasional work outside the typical 8–5 schedule may be required.
