Collections Specialist - Merchant Services

What you will do

• Collect payments on delinquent leasing and processing accounts.
• Contact customers with outstanding debt or delinquent accounts and arrange payment plans.
• Respond to disputes and send collection letters and invoices.
• Report delinquent accounts to credit bureaus when necessary.
• Locate individuals with unmet financial responsibilities through skip tracing.
• Review bankruptcy cases and maintain accurate collection records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; no prior experience required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills.
• Strong communication, customer service, administrative, organizational, and telephone etiquette skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information, overcome obstacles, and maintain accurate, high-quality work.

Nice to have

• At least one year of collections experience.
• Experience facilitating discussions between people with different perspectives.
