Special Servicing Operations Specialist (Banking)

What you will do

• Provide frontline support for the internal collection operation.
• Coordinate repossession activities and secure collateral for personal property.
• Facilitate special servicing requirements for consumer and small business loans.
• Resolve insurance exceptions within indirect lending and support remarketing during asset disposition.
• Assign legal placements to the legal network and reconcile monthly vendor activity.
• Handle collection calls and incoming calls for the department’s inbound ACD group while following bank policies and applicable laws.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Prior collection experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and municipal collection laws, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
• Knowledge of general banking, customer service, analytical calculations, time management, and problem-solving.
• Effective verbal and written communication, multitasking ability, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
