Senior Claims Specialist Bodily Injury - Hybrid (Insurance)

Location: Richfield, Ohio, USA; hybrid schedule with four days onsite and one day remote each week.

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage a large inventory of highly complex bodily injury and property and casualty claims.
• Lead comprehensive investigations to evaluate coverage, liability, compensability, and damages.
• Analyze and negotiate settlements and reserves within assigned authority limits.
• Attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials when required.
• Communicate complex coverage and settlement information to insureds, claimants, and external partners.
• Maintain detailed claim files and authorize timely payments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 13 years of experience handling property and casualty claims.
• Expert knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, claims procedures, industry laws, and regulations.
• Advanced analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
• Ability to handle confidential information, manage complex caseloads, and lead negotiations.

Nice to have

• Commercial claims litigation experience.
• Completed or ongoing professional designation such as Associate in Claims (AIC).
• Experience coaching staff and participating in talent and performance management decisions.
