What you will do

• Investigate and settle property and inland marine claims, typically ranging from $25,000 to $100,000.
• Estimate property damages and obtain necessary claim documentation for accurate settlement.
• Select and deploy experts to assist with complex claim investigations.
• Serve as an initial responder for catastrophe claim events within the organization.
• Handle coverage determinations, negotiations, and reserving within established authority.
• Travel within the assigned territory (approximately 75% of time) to inspect damages.

Requirements

• Must reside in or be able to relocate to the Michigan area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to drive an automobile for travel within the territory.
• Thorough knowledge of Commercial and Personal Lines coverages.
• Proficiency in standard business and claim-specific computer software.
• Prefer 5 years of property claims experience.
