What you will do

• Develop 2D CAD drawings for movable bridge machinery systems, detailed assemblies, and fabrication components.
• Interpret existing as-built drawings, including hand-sketched drawings more than a century old.
• Perform engineering calculations in accordance with AREMA, AASHTO, and client-specific requirements.
• Conduct field visits to movable bridges for inspections, assessments, project scoping, and design support.
• Meet with clients and collaborate with senior engineers on complex assignments.
• Prepare reports, design documentation, project deliverables, and provide technical direction to drafting and technical staff as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
• Experience with MS Office, MathCAD, AutoCAD, LARSA, and Prestress Concrete Design.
• Knowledge of Bluebeam Revu and engineering software such as LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, MDX, SAP2000, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, spColumn, STLBridgeLRFD, or STLBridge.
• Knowledge of Bentley OpenBridge Designer and OpenBridge Modeler and/or Autodesk InfraWorks and Civil 3D.
• Strong computer skills for structural layout and design, good communication skills, and willingness to work in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• Experience in bridge or structural design.
