Manager of Integration Software Engineering (Cybersecurity)

Location: United States; remote work available. In-person interviews may be requested during the hiring process.

Base compensation: USD 200,000–275,000 per year, plus potential bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and support a team of software engineers, including performance management, career development, recruiting, and onboarding.
• Stay hands-on through design discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, technical decisions, and direct contribution to complex integrations and production issues.
• Guide development and maintenance of integrations with third-party security and enterprise technologies.
• Coordinate with Product Management, Architecture, Quality Engineering, DevOps, Customer Success, and Support to define priorities, manage dependencies, and deliver reliable software.
• Improve engineering practices across code quality, testing, documentation, security, operational readiness, and process efficiency.
• Promote practical use of AI-assisted development, testing, documentation, code review, and automation with appropriate human oversight.

Requirements

• Experience managing or formally leading software engineers in a first-line leadership role.
• Hands-on software engineering experience with Python, Go, Java, or a comparable backend language.
• Experience building, integrating, or operating production software and APIs.
• Practical understanding of microservices, distributed applications, or cloud-based systems.
• Strong communication, prioritization, problem-solving, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with cybersecurity domains such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, NDR, XDR, or security automation.
• Knowledge of REST, GraphQL, webhooks, streaming APIs, OAuth, rate limiting, message queues, event-driven systems, or workflow orchestration.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, containers, Kubernetes, observability, incident management, or site reliability practices.
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools, LLM APIs, function calling, MCP, or agent-based workflows.
• Experience working with globally distributed engineering teams.
