Engineering Manager, AgentControl (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $163,000–$224,070 for Zone 3, $172,600–$237,270 for Zone 2, or $191,800–$263,670 for Zone 1, plus a 10% bonus target. RSUs and health, vision, dental, and mental health benefits are provided.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of backend and infrastructure engineers.
• Drive development and operation of AgentControl services for offline evaluations, playgrounds, LLM-as-judges, and annotated datasets.
• Partner with Product Management and Design to scope, estimate, sequence, and deliver roadmap items.
• Coordinate infrastructure decisions and dependencies with AI Agents, Observability, and Feature Management teams.
• Communicate roadmaps, risks, and progress to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Improve production reliability, observability, incident response, team working norms, and hiring.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of software engineering experience, including 2 or more years managing backend or infrastructure engineers.
• Experience translating business goals into engineering plans and reliable estimates with Product Management.
• Strong communication skills in distributed teams with cross-timezone collaboration.
• Experience coaching and developing engineers through performance management, career planning, and technical mentorship.
• Familiarity with metrics, tracing, alerting, structured logging, and production incident response.
• Familiarity with Anthropic, OpenAI, Bedrock, Gemini, LangChain, or Arize; experience with Go and Python or comparable backend languages is a plus.
