Technical Copywriter (AI)

Location: San Francisco office or remote work with strong overlap with the team; the office schedule is 4 days on-site and 1 day working from home.

Salary: $150K–$200K annually

What you will do

• Turn marketing priorities, hypotheses, and briefs into published technical content on a consistent cadence.
• Write comparison, migration, integration, and documentation-adjacent pages for developers adopting hirify.global.
• Interview engineers, read documentation and code, and explain complex APIs, workflows, and infrastructure accurately.
• Produce customer case studies by managing interviews, narratives, approvals, and publication.
• Edit specialist freelance work and maintain consistent standards for accuracy, structure, tone, and usefulness.
• Run content experiments, coordinate technical reviews, and measure publishing cadence, accuracy, turnaround, and performance.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience writing technical content for developers, infrastructure products, developer tools, APIs, or similar audiences.
• A portfolio demonstrating clear and accurate writing about complex technical products.
• Technical fluency sufficient to read code, understand APIs and developer workflows, interview engineers, and identify errors.
• Strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, speed, consistency, and comfort managing multiple pieces at different stages.
• Ability to work from the San Francisco office or remotely with strong team overlap.
• Excellent written communication and comfort incorporating feedback and using performance data.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI agents, model infrastructure, sandboxes, cloud infrastructure, open-source software, or usage-based SaaS.
• Hands-on experience with developer documentation, APIs, SDKs, command-line tools, or code samples.
• Experience managing freelance writers, editing specialist technical work, or producing customer stories from technical interviews.
• Experience with SEO, answer-engine optimization, content experimentation, or conversion-focused technical pages.
• Familiarity with agent frameworks, model providers, sandboxes, and developer infrastructure.
