Senior Technical Writer (AI)

Location: USA - Tampa, FL. Hybrid attendance is required for 8 days per month at any hirify.global office in the U.S.; fully remote work may be considered for candidates living more than 50 miles from an office. Applicants may be required to attend an onsite interview.

Salary: $60,700.00 - $106,000.00 USD annually, plus eligibility for a bonus.

What you will do

• Lead interviews and information sessions with Subject Matter Experts and collaborate with Product Managers.
• Create, update, review, and maintain technical documentation for software products.
• Document software functionality, workflows, new features, and upcoming product releases.
• Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly content for non-technical and mixed audiences.
• Manage documentation projects from conception through publication while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Improve documentation processes and develop content that supports demonstrations, e-learning, and customer-facing videos.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a Technical Writer, preferably supporting software or technology products.
• Strong hands-on experience using MadCap Flare as a primary authoring environment.
• Experience creating and maintaining software or product documentation, including features, workflows, and releases.
• Ability to understand complex software and communicate it clearly to non-technical or mixed audiences.
• Experience collaborating with Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts, developers, engineers, or other technical professionals.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, project-management, and independent-working skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with MadCap Central, SaaS or enterprise software documentation, and Agile development environments.
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Copilot, Snagit, or similar documentation tools.
• Experience incorporating AI tools into technical writing, research, or documentation workflows.
