CNC Machinist

Location: Statham, Georgia, USA; onsite at the facility. First-shift position with occasional local travel, overtime, and weekend work.

What you will do

• Set up, program, and operate CNC and VMC machines using conversational programming, G codes, and canned cycles.
• Read engineering drawings and determine tooling, spindle speeds, feed rates, work-holding methods, and machining sequences.
• Produce, deburr, and inspect machined parts against required specifications and tolerances.
• Design and build fixtures, keys, and other work-holding solutions to secure materials during machining.
• Select and prepare raw materials, including cutting material from larger stock when required.
• Serve as a technical resource for employees and plant departments while maintaining safe, orderly work areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of relevant experience or completion of a one- or two-year Tool Technology or related program.
• Experience with CNC setup, programming, VMC operation, mills, lathes, and saws.
• Ability to interpret detailed blueprints, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Experience using scales, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to work in the United States are required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform bending, stooping, reaching, and other physical duties is also required.
