Engineering Manager, Growth

Location: San Francisco, United States; in-office five days a week. Candidates must be based in San Francisco or willing to relocate.

Salary: $225,000–$275,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own the Growth engineering organization and grow the team from 5 to approximately 10 people.
• Manage individuals, support career development, and keep the team unblocked.
• Build and optimize lead acquisition across web, aggregators, social, paid, and other distribution channels.
• Own intake capacity so leads can move through requirements to bound coverage.
• Architect Voice AI systems that support high-volume, real-time intake.
• Partner with growth marketing, sales, and operations while remaining hands-on with architecture and code.

Requirements

• At least two years of direct line-management experience with teams of six or more.
• Experience in a product-first company and product-first role.
• Experience optimizing growth funnels from top of funnel through completion.
• Experience in operations-heavy environments and partnering with non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to dive into code, shape architecture, and write code when needed.
• Ability to work in the San Francisco office Monday through Friday, or willingness to relocate.

Nice to have

• Experience hiring and building a team from scratch using a professional network.
• Experience with Voice AI or other real-time conversational AI systems.
• Experience partnering directly with growth marketing and sales in a high-velocity business.
• Prior startup experience, especially in a hyper-growth company.
