Engineering Manager (Growth)

Location: Fully remote; travel to Los Angeles as needed, usually quarterly and for offsites

Base salary: $195,500–$264,500 annually, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Lead the Growth Pod, consisting of four full-stack engineers, a product manager, a designer, and a data scientist.
• Own the team roadmap and drive delivery of product experiences that help clients find hirify.global and understand how it can help them.
• Set team culture and processes while developing engineers’ careers, including senior individual contributors and early-career engineers.
• Stay hands-on with technical work by writing and reviewing code, reviewing pull requests, and contributing to architecture decisions.
• Run rapid experiments and use data-driven decisions to improve product outcomes.

Requirements

• More than one year of experience managing at least three engineers.
• Experience coaching engineers and handling difficult performance conversations.
• Experience in a high-performing product organization collaborating with product managers and designers.
• Ability to operate with ambiguity and limited resources.
• Serious hands-on use of AI coding tools during the past year, with sound judgment about their application and output quality.
• Ability to write code, review code, and contribute to technical system-building decisions.

Nice to have

• Expertise in A/B testing, experiment design, and rapid iterative growth development.
• Experience with Go, TypeScript, Next.js, Temporal, or GCP.
• Background in legal, healthcare, financial services, or other industries with complex professional workflows.
