Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Manage production, quality, safety, employee relations, and resource control on the manufacturing floor.
• Train, direct, and assign work to production employees, including new, displaced, and unfamiliar workers.
• Maximize production throughput and ensure efficient use of labor and materials.
• Maintain equipment condition, prevent downtime, and ensure equipment is set up according to manufacturing standards.
• Review production reports, investigate substandard performance, and implement corrective actions.
• Inspect work areas, investigate accidents and near misses, enforce safety procedures, and communicate production and quality issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• 3–5 years of supervision experience required.
• Microsoft Suite proficiency, strong leadership, and working knowledge of SPC required.
• Ability to spend approximately 60–80% of working time on the production floor.
• Ability to administer manufacturing standards, practices, and procedures, including efficiency, scrap loss, material usage, and UPH targets.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of supervision experience in a plastic process facility.
• Experience with continuous improvement efforts.
