Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Northbrook, Illinois, USA — on-site. First shift: 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.; second shift: 2:50 p.m.–11:20 p.m.

Salary: $28.46 per hour

What you will do

• Execute daily production schedules and oversee plant startup, shutdown, and operations.
• Supervise, lead, train, coach, and evaluate production employees.
• Enforce safety, quality, 5S, and operational procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance, production efficiency, inventory accuracy, and FIFO material practices.
• Support machine setup, inspections, troubleshooting, and changeovers.
• Partner with engineering, quality, shipping, receiving, and management teams to resolve issues and implement continuous improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing, production, or operations supervisory experience.
• Experience leading, training, or directing production employees.
• Ability to interpret work instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation.
• Basic computer application proficiency.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or higher in a technical, manufacturing, or business-related field.
• Experience with electromechanical equipment, machine setup, troubleshooting, and blueprint reading.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, inventory control, and quality inspection tools.
