Lead Digital Designer (Fintech)

Location: In-office collaboration is expected for at least 10 days per month, with schedules determined by managers and teams. A New York annual salary range is provided for positions based in NY.

Salary: $132,000–$160,000 annual base salary for positions based in New York, excluding equity, bonuses, and commissions.

What you will do

• Lead the design of high-impact web experiences across homepages, product pages, and key user journeys.
• Develop scalable design systems with tokens, components, and reusable CMS modules.
• Partner with engineering to deliver high-quality, production-ready implementations.
• Define site architecture, navigation systems, and user experience frameworks.
• Collaborate with brand, product, marketing, UX teams, agencies, and external partners.
• Support UX testing, A/B testing, optimization, and workflows that improve web delivery speed and consistency.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in web or digital product design, supported by a strong portfolio.
• Experience with design systems, component libraries, scalable frameworks, design tokens, or Storybook.
• Strong foundation in typography, layout, color, hierarchy, responsive design, UX principles, and modern web standards.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams and understanding front-end constraints.
• Experience designing complex multi-page websites or platforms and contributing to large-scale redesigns.
• Ability to communicate design decisions, influence stakeholders, and work effectively amid ambiguity and changing priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, B2B, or complex product ecosystems.
• Experience with CRO, A/B testing, motion design, interaction design, or advanced web storytelling.
• Interest in AI tools for design workflows.
• Experience collaborating with or managing external agencies and partners.
• Exposure to both brand-driven and product-driven design environments.
