EHS Manager

Location: Denver Airport, Denver, Colorado, United States; day, weekend, variable, and on-call shifts; no more than 5% travel.

Compensation: $110,000–$120,000 per year.

What you will do

• Plan and implement workplace safety policies and programs in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA requirements.
• Train managers and employees on worksite safety, fire prevention, and the safe handling of chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials.
• Inspect facilities, identify accident and health hazards, define corrective measures, and follow up on implementation.
• Lead investigations of accidents and injuries and prepare reports and evidence for regulatory, legal, and insurance proceedings.
• Oversee workers’ compensation administration and work with the insurance carrier to reduce employee lost time.
• Maintain safety records, prepare safety materials, and represent the organization in industry and community safety programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field, plus 5–8 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience planning, directing, and implementing organizational safety programs.
• Ability to supervise employees, including hiring, work assignment, performance evaluation, training, and problem resolution.
• Ability to prepare regulatory accident reports and maintain safety files and records.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.
