Senior EHSS Specialist (Environmental Health, Safety & Security)

Location: Onsite at the manufacturing facility in Meridian, Idaho, United States

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 USD annually, plus an annual bonus or role-based sales incentive plan.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and enforce environmental, health, safety, and security policies for the manufacturing site.
• Conduct investigations of accidents, injuries, incidents, complaints, and unsafe conditions.
• Manage environmental programs, audits, inspections, stormwater and wastewater compliance, air permits, and industrial hygiene testing.
• Provide technical guidance on chemical and noise exposure, machine guarding, confined spaces, ergonomics, lockout/tagout, material handling, powered industrial trucks, and hazardous materials transportation.
• Oversee combustible dust safety engineering controls, including detection and suppression systems.
• Deliver safety education, training, behavior-based safety initiatives, reporting, employee involvement, and EHSS project management.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of direct safety responsibility, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational health and safety, engineering, environmental sciences, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience with Title V air permits, stormwater or wastewater permit compliance, and developing EHS policies and programs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety and health programs, risk identification and control strategies, and federal and state regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, confidentiality, and independent working skills.
• Availability for varying shifts, holidays, weekends, extended hours, and safety-related emergencies when operationally required.

Nice to have

• ASP, CSP, CHMM, PE, Registered Environmental Manager, or Registered Environmental Professional certification.
• CSP, OSHA outreach trainer, or Powered Industrial Truck trainer experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
