Technical Experimentation Planner

Location: Onsite in Arlington, Virginia, United States; travel greater than 25% required.

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 annualized

What you will do

• Establish and execute comprehensive pilot plans, synchronizing phased operations, live testing, field exercises, program schedules, and customer milestones.
• Translate operator and customer needs into engineering specifications, user stories, and software and hardware requirements.
• Develop deployment blueprints that convert operational requirements and performance targets into field-tested solutions.
• Collect field observations and client feature requests, then drive rapid system improvements with engineering teams.
• Define and track customer satisfaction and system performance metrics to validate technical efficacy.
• Schedule, track, and report on client engagements while preparing technical documentation, briefings, and system demonstrations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supporting the Information Warfare community, including Space, Electromagnetic Warfare, Cyber, Cryptology and Signals Intelligence, Military Deception, or Information Operations.
• 2+ years supporting an Operational or Combatant Command staff, with knowledge of battle rhythm events supporting warfighting.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain clearance up to TS/SCI and poly are required.
• Strong results-oriented work ethic and customer service orientation.
• Ability to travel more than 25%.

Nice to have

• Joint Fires, Space Planning, or related military staff courses.
• Understanding of the Joint Fires process for kinetic and non-kinetic operations.
• Experience supporting Operational or Combatant Command exercises and technical experiments.
• Familiarity with the Cyber Mission Force, cyberspace operations tools, system or network administration, or incident response.
• Experience with Agile/DevOps environments, Atlassian tools, Python, or SQL.
