Senior Software Engineer (Autonomous Driving)

Location: Remote US & Canada (Hybrid roles in Toronto, San Francisco, Pittsburgh, Phoenix, and Dallas)

Salary: $245,000 - $285,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead software quality initiatives for the planner architecture to ensure safe and reliable vehicle operation.
• Design and develop motion planning algorithms for decision-making in complex, dynamic traffic environments.
• Act as a technical bridge between Motion Planning and Onboard Software teams to improve system reliability.
• Manage experimentation pipelines for research and data generation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers and research scientists using an AI-first approach.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of industry experience.
• Production-quality coding skills in Python or C++.
• Experience with planning and decision-making approaches such as optimal control or probabilistic methods.
• Strong grasp of software engineering principles including unit testing, code review, and architecture.
• Experience owning software on a shipped product with reliability requirements.
