Senior Software Engineer (AI Code Review)

Base salary: USD $124,000–$329,200 per year

What you will do

• Improve the code review agent's context, memory, and handling of evolving pull requests.
• Integrate frontier models while balancing review quality, latency, and cost.
• Design and run offline and online evaluations to measure product improvements.
• Build the end-to-end review experience across VS Code, the hirify.global Copilot app, the hirify.global Copilot CLI, and pull requests.
• Reduce false positives and low-value review comments.
• Maintain a high-throughput service at hirify.global scale and participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering or related technical experience, or equivalent experience; alternative education and experience combinations are accepted.
• Proven experience maintaining and delivering production software.
• Experience coding in one or more languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
• Experience with distributed systems and operational practices for keeping services healthy under load.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience pushing coding agents to their limits.
• Experience improving nondeterministic, model-driven systems and quantifying aggregate gains.
• Experience building an LLM-backed or agentic product in production, or the evaluations behind one.
• Fundamentals in Go, Ruby, TypeScript, or Python.
