Senior Software Engineer, Copilot Code Review (AI)

Location: Remote, United States

Salary: USD $124,000–$329,200 per year, plus potential bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Improve the coding agent's context handling, memory, and ability to review evolving pull requests.
• Integrate frontier models and balance review quality against latency and cost.
• Build and refine offline and online evaluations for AI code review.
• Develop the end-to-end review experience across VS Code, the hirify.global Copilot app, the hirify.global Copilot CLI, and pull requests.
• Reduce false positives and improve the usefulness of review comments.
• Maintain a high-throughput service at hirify.global scale and participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in software engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• Proven experience maintaining and delivering production software.
• Production coding experience in one or more languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
• Experience with distributed systems and operational practices for keeping services healthy under load.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience pushing coding agents to their limits.
• Experience improving nondeterministic, model-driven systems and measuring aggregate gains.
• Experience building an LLM-backed or agentic product in production, or its evaluation systems.
• Fundamentals in Go, Ruby, TypeScript, or Python.
