Customs Brokerage Agent (Logistics)

Location: Fort Gratiot Township, Michigan, USA; onsite role. Second shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 pm–12:00 am; Friday, 6:00 pm–2:00 am.

What you will do

• Ensure smooth and timely import and export customs processing.
• Enter accurate customs and operational data into internal systems.
• Transfer information from source documents into the customs entry system to build valid declarations.
• Track and trace customs files, prepare reports, and ensure accurate client billing.
• Verify customs declaration information and assist with submissions to customs authorities.
• Follow desk-level operating procedures and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Knowledge of customs brokerage processes and customs legislation, particularly classification, valuation, and origin.
• Understanding of ocean, road, and air documentation processes.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, proactive, and computer skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Fluent English required.
