Healthcare Technical Consulting Manager - IT Strategy & Operations

Location: Chicago, United States; willingness and ability to travel to client sites as required.

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year, plus eligibility for annual incentive compensation and benefit plans.

What you will do

• Lead IT strategy, operating model, governance, cost optimization, and technology portfolio management engagements.
• Support ERP advisory work, including readiness assessments, vendor and system selection, business cases, implementation oversight, and post-go-live optimization.
• Manage client relationships and serve as the primary contact for engagement leadership and client stakeholders.
• Develop assessments, operating models, roadmaps, business cases, executive presentations, and other client-ready deliverables.
• Oversee IT financial analyses, total cost of ownership, ROI, chargeback/showback, vendor, and contract assessments.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, workshops, steering committees, and executive working sessions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or another advanced degree is a plus.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience, including prior management consulting experience or IT strategy, IT operations, or technology leadership experience.
• Experience managing client relationships and leading project teams in a professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of IT operating models, governance frameworks, IT financial management, vendor management, and portfolio or demand management.
• Experience with ERP advisory work is required; experience with Workday, Oracle, or SAP is a plus.
• Excellent executive communication, facilitation, presentation, structured problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with EHR platforms such as Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, or MEDITECH.
• Experience with ITIL, COBIT, or ServiceNow SPM/PPM.
• Healthcare, higher education, or other hirify.global-relevant industry experience.
• MBA or another advanced degree.
