Senior Category Manager - Consulting (Procurement)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship.

Salary: $95,600–$162,400 USD annually, plus benefits and potential discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Develop enterprise-wide procurement, category sourcing, sustainable purchasing, and supplier diversity strategies.
• Lead RFx processes, including project planning, proposal development, negotiations, and supplier awards.
• Review, draft, negotiate, and administer NDAs, master agreements, statements of work, and other contracts.
• Monitor supplier performance, contract adherence, supplier fitness, scorecards, rationalization, and demand-management opportunities.
• Manage procurement reporting, regulatory and compliance requirements, audit support, and procurement performance metrics.
• Partner with business stakeholders to implement sourcing solutions, improve processes, and support change through training and communication.

Requirements

• Six or more years of experience in sourcing or procurement, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement strategy, supply chain management, contract terms, and their legal impact.
• Advanced negotiation, project management, communication, presentation, research, and analytical skills.
• Experience with ERP and procurement systems such as PeopleSoft or Coupa, plus advanced Excel and MS Office skills.
• U.S. work authorization is required; employment-based visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• MBA, advanced degree, or professional procurement or supply chain designation such as CSCP or CPM.
• Experience with labor contracts, managed services contracts, regulated industries, or financial services.
