Civil Engineer, Intermediate

Location: Orlando, Florida, United States; four days per week in the office, with flexibility to work elsewhere on Fridays.

What you will do

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients within an integrated design process.
• Design and coordinate site development documents using Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Develop site layouts, grading and drainage, storm sewer, stormwater management, paving, utilities, and related civil engineering deliverables.
• Perform civil calculations, code research, engineering reports, narratives, and permitting applications.
• Write and review specifications, shop drawings, and construction correspondence.
• Conduct site visits and manage priorities across multiple projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Civil Engineer (PE) license.
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience focused on building-related site development.
• Previous experience in an architecture/engineering or civil engineering design firm.
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D and working knowledge of Hydraflow, Storm and Sanitary Sewer Analysis, and InfraWorks.
• Strong understanding of stormwater management, hydrologic design, communication, problem solving, and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience with sustainable site design and low-impact strategies.
• Knowledge of ArcGIS.
• Knowledge of SketchUp or other site-plan rendering software.
