Land Development Civil Engineer

Location: Owings Mills, Maryland, United States; full-time, onsite role.

Salary: $91,405.62–$102,831.32 per year

What you will do

• Prepare construction documents, permit packages, design calculations, technical reports, feasibility studies, and construction services support.
• Create construction drawings, layouts, and models using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, HydroCAD, Hydraflow Hydrographs, and ArcGIS.
• Conduct site investigations and assessments to support land development design decisions.
• Develop site layouts, grading, utilities, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control solutions.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to secure permits and approvals, including Maryland jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, clients, and other engineers while monitoring project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Professional Engineering license.
• 4+ years of experience in civil/site design, land development, or a related field.
• Knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and erosion and sediment control.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, detail-management, and multitasking skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with ArcGIS, Hydraflow Hydrographs, or HydroCAD.
• Experience leading permitting processes in Maryland jurisdictions; Baltimore City experience is a plus.
