Civil Engineer (Data Centers)

Location: Miami, FL, United States; based at the Miami headquarters. Periodic travel to project sites across Texas, Louisiana, and the Southeast is required, typically 15–25%.

What you will do

• Review grading, earthwork, storm drainage, detention, utilities, roadways, access, and erosion-control packages for constructability, code compliance, and program standards.
• Verify that civil designs support heavy-haul routes, crane pads, equipment logistics, and laydown areas.
• Support site development permits, SWPPP/NPDES, floodplain and drainage approvals, utility permits, and DOT access.
• Coordinate water, sewer, gas, telecom, shared corridors, easements, crossings, and substation site requirements.
• Respond to civil RFIs and field issues, review submittals and shop drawings, and support earthwork QA/QC decisions.
• Support site diligence, grading feasibility, drainage and geotechnical reviews, early-works packages, and portfolio-wide civil standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of civil site design or owner-side civil review experience in industrial, mission-critical, or large commercial developments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; PE license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of grading and drainage design, stormwater management, and utility infrastructure.
• Experience with entitlements and permitting involving AHJs, environmental agencies, and DOTs.
• Experience reviewing Civil 3D deliverables and geotechnical reports, plus construction-phase RFIs, submittals, and earthwork QA/QC.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, reprioritize against construction schedules, and communicate clearly with consultants, agencies, and field teams.
